"LEAF promotes the use of efficiency, transparency and standards throughout the food and farming industry"

The LEAF Marque standard

The LEAF Marque standard is a list of questions about how you farm and how you manage your farming. For each question there is a standard that the farmer is required to meet in order to qualify for LEAF Marque certification. The questions must be applied to your whole farm i.e. all enterprises including land you rent in and joint ventures if you are the principle crop manager. Land that you rent out you should encourage your tenant to adopt IFM and join LEAF.

To help interpret the question and the standard that is to be met, this document also provides the assessors guidelines and compliance criteria. This explains what evidence is required by the assessor and what criteria are to be used in making the assessment.

Certain questions must be complied with. These questions are refered to 'critical failure points' (CFP's). The questions in this category are also identified in the document.
