Covent Garden Market Authority (CGMA) is the statutory corporation responsible to Defra for the running of New Covent Garden Market. The Authority was established by Act of Parliament in 1961 and its function is to provide facilities for a wholesale market at Nine Elms while ensuring that its revenues are sufficient at least to break even taking one year with another. Winchester Growers Ltd

Winchester Growers are the UK’s leading grower/packers of daffodil bulbs, principally bulb based flowers, bouquets and potted products supplying the major UK high street multiples and horticultural wholesalers as well as exporting some of their products to Europe and the USA. The Company operates from two sites in the UK. The principle site is at Pinchbeck near Spalding in Lincolnshire. This is the head office address as well as the Company's main site for growing protected flower crops such as tulips and lilies and also the primary packing facility for a wide range of flowers and added value arrangements. The second site is close to Penzance in Cornwall. The principle operations here relate to the growing, packing and distribution of daffodil bulbs and flowers. Winchester Growers also owns and maintains the National Collection of Dahlias at this site.

WRAP is taking a fresh approach to the collective challenge of improving resource efficiency. Our goal is to ensure that the UK reduces waste and recycles as much as possible at minimum net cost. This will enable us to increase resource efficiency, reduce landfill and lessen our contribution to climate change, while generating positive economic impacts.

Wright Farm Produce started growing on Tarleton Moss in 1965 producing Celery and Lettuce on 2 acres of land. Over the years the growing and harvesting techniques have evolved to the point where we now grow in excess of 500 acres of salad crops, these being Celery, Lettuce, Chinese Leaves and Little Gem Lettuce. We have continued to expand and develop our product lines and customer base, handling produce for a number of local growers and supplying a variety of major supermarket and processing customers through our purpose build distribution centre. Having over 40 years growing experience we continue to look for the most productive yet environmentally friendly growing techniques and new innovations in fresh produce supply. In fact the company remains in family ownership and located on Tarleton Moss, with the offices located on the original 2 acre site Len started from. Len is still very much involved in the business along with his son Chris.

Yorkshire Agricultural Society

For more than 150 years the Yorkshire Agricultural Society has helped support those living and working in rural areas, assisting progress whilst never losing sight of the value of our heritage. Recently rural communities have experienced some of the most turbulent times ever and the Society’s support has been very welcome. The Society is a charity which exists to promote farming and the countryside. Every year it gives away more than £160,000 to help agriculture.
