Free Sensory Farm Visits Training Day

Would you like to offer sensory farm visits for people with a physical or sensory impairment, elderly people and others who may find it difficult to get out and enjoy the countryside? Perhaps you’ve delivered educational visits for children and would like to branch out to other community groups and wonder how to go about it.

CEVAS Access to Farms
Tuesday 29th October 2013 – Wednesday 12th February 2014
Access To Farms (ATF) is offering training to farmers who host visits from school parties. On completion this will result in a qualification from the Open College Network (OCN), and ATF will provide the farmer with a logo and certificate of achievement to use for promotional purposes.
There are two one-day training sessions based on three units. These are:
- Preparing for farm visits
- Food, farming and the countryside in the National Curriculum
- Talking to pupils, students and teachers
